I have a leaky drain pipe from kitchen sink, the leak is coming from the pipes that run behind cabinets and drywall, they then run down through subfloor. I removed drywall on basement ceiling in laundry room and I can see where the leak is, its is on the elbow and the straight that is running through sub floor. The problem is there isn't enough room to work and I don't want to cut the sub floor around the pipes. I was wondering what is the best way to get to the pipes, I could remove all cabinets and cut a hole through the drywall which I am trying to avoid, or I could cut an access panel from the outside of the house through the siding, also not sure if that's a good idea, need some advice on what the best course of action would be. Thanks.
