HI,
I have two ivory elephant tuck. I have had them for over 40 years. I am fairly sure they are pure ivory due to a jewelry dealer check them out for me years ago. He want to sent the off but, I would let them out of my site. They are hand craved with oriental design on them both. Although one of them has broken in half it still is pure yellow through out it. They are around 15" tall and 3" round at the bottom. I was wanted to know if I can sell them and who you might know that buys ivory.

Sincerely,
Thelmab

DO you have papers on their providence... if you don't you can't legally sell them in most of the world

You need to find out if the Ivory is from an Asian or African Elephant. The Federal laws vary depending on the species. This announcement from the US Department of the Interior gives more information: Interior Announces Ban on Commercial Trade of Ivory as Part of Overall Effort to Combat Poaching, Wildlife Trafficking (http://www.doi.gov/news/pressreleases/interior-announces-ban-on-commercial-trade-of-ivory-as-part-of-overall-effort-to-combat-poaching-wildlife-trafficking.cfm)

You will also need to check with state laws and local laws. Some states have stricter laws governing the sale of Ivory. In fact, some like California ban it.
