Some say loving a person before marriage is not prohibited in Islam. I want to know the correct answer according to quran and sunnah.

Since most Muslim marriages are arrainged by the parents and not the ones getting married... just LIKING them first is the best to hope for... since there is no thing as love at first site... if they are lucky... love will grow afterwards and not just learning to tolerate the other person. Yeah, I know enough well enough to see that in their relationships. I see all the same problems others have but without that spark that people who made their own choice for a spouse.

I only know one Muslim couple... that made their own choice... but I can't hold theirs up as an example of either group...(or ANY religion) theirs is to say the least... unusual.
