Hi, I normally have a 26 day cycle. I have been using clomid for 3 months now. The First day of my last "real" cycle was 20 March 2014. On the 16th of April my cycle was late by 2 days, I took a test and it came out negative. The next day my period started. But it was not at all like it always is. Normally a have heavy flow for at least 5-6 days. After 2 days of very light flow it just stopped completely. Yesterday I took another test and there was a second line, but very faint? Can I be pregnant?

You could be yes. I would wait a week or two and test again. Whenever you have sex, regardless of what birthcontrol you use, you can become pregnant. Birthcontrol reduces the chances of this occurring a lot but there is still a chance. As well make sure you follow the directions on the test completely because if you don't you could misinterpret the results. If you leave a test too long the control will leech into the test area and give you a false positive. That's why you pee, wait for an amount of time, and read. If it was faint at that point you will need to wait and test again. If it was faint an hour later than that was a false positive.

Did you have any antibiotics or missed pills or anything that could have compromised your protection?

If you followed the directions on the test, especially as to when to read the results as CravenMorhead mentioned, then it's quite likely that you are pregnant. Clomid won't effect test results.

Do test again in several days, or you can see your doctor for a test there, to confirm one way or the other. If you are pregnant, your second line should be darker next time you test. Your doctor may opt to do a blood test, especially since they are likely monitoring your use of the clomid to see if you have been ovulating.

Good luck... hope it's truly a positive for you. If not this round, hopefully within the next couple of cycles.
