My first pregnancy was terminated due to fetal cardiac anomalies one year earlier. My last period date was 03 Mar 14 and next expected date was 03 Apr 14 but it didn't come till 12 Apr 14 and I went for pregnancy test and it was showing negative. Then I visited doctor who suggests me medicines tab primulut for 3 days like this and one more pink colour medicine for 8 days for regular periods. Till today 22 apr 14 my periods didn't come and I went for pregnancy test , it is showing positive. Please help me to know that is it any side effects of these medicines to my pregnancy.

You're trying to get pregnant. Your doctor was prescribing medicine to help this. Trust in your doctor that he wouldn't give you anything that could harm your pregnancy. Chances are pregnancy is fine. I would disscontinue any other medication he gave you until you have a chance to see him. When you do I would go over ALL medications you take and make sure they're pregnancy safe.

Good luck and congratulations.

Are your periods normally irregular? Otherwise it is surprising that your doctor would prescribe primulut for just one slightly late period. When you had the first pregnancy test that was negative, was it a urine test or a blood test? What was the pink medicine called?

Regardless, while there can be some risk with primulut in pregnancy, your intake was only for one cycle, so it was not ongoing which would carry greater risk. As was said, odds are your pregnancy and baby will both progress without a problem. Congratulations... wishing you a smooth pregnancy.
