I just had our Sanyo 39" flat screen installed on our wall. My problem is the power cord is not long enough to run down my wall without the plug end showing. I am planning on running the cords down a corner and cover w/tubing, but the plug is not reaching the floor (hanging midways on the wall). Is it possible to buy a longer power cord and how do I take the old out and plug a new one in? Thanks!

Might be easier to surface mount a new outlet that reaches the cord. Opening the TV case may void the warranty.

I didn't know they were still making TV's with permanently attached power cords. Most are built for multiple markets so all they have to do is put the correct cord in the box for that market. If its not you should be able to buy a longer cord even if it might take ordering it online.

But if its permanently attached....I agree...opening it will void the warranty and its not a job for the average person to do safely.
