I have a hair follicle test for a job I was hired for... Not sure of the date yet, but it's likely soon. I shared a blunt with someone about a month and half ago, and I think I had maybe 4 or 5 puffs... First time I ever smoked weed and defintely the last (I honestly didn't even feel anything). I've read several other posts where people had only smoked once and it wasn't detected but I've smoked within 90 days... Is it likely it will show up?

Thanks.

Also, I forgot to mention, my cousin was tested about 3 months ago (never done drugs in his life) and they took hair off his leg... I believe he requested that since he didn't want them taking hair off his head. I have plenty of hair and would not care at all if they took it off my head and I hope they do... But I've heard that body hair goes back a much longer period? Is this true? And I guess either way it wouldn't make a difference since it's only been about a month and a half ago.

Body hair grows slower and covers a much longer period. You don't get to pick what hair they take... they do... but if you only ever did it once in your life... why do you care where they take it from.

I'm assuming you're saying it won't make a difference? And yeah I figured it wouldn't even if they could trace it because either way it was within 90 days

Using any drug just one time would not turn a Hair Test positive. If you only smoked that single time, you are worry free.

If that's true I should be perfectly fine then... Awesome.. thanks

Exactly... unless there was actually more use than the "one time". You would be surprised the large percentage of people that start saying it was only once... then turn around and admit to a lot more.

Once isn't a problem... the tests will know if there actually was a lot more than that. Once you will pass... more than once... then that's a different thing.

Yeah that won't be a problem... I smoked a few cigars like a few years back for celebrations (friends baby born, bachelor party) but never any weed.

Cigars are legal... and they don't test for tobacco use. Not yet anyway.

"And as to the ban on hiring smokers in the 21 states where it is legal, the Towers Watson survey found that 4% of companies have adopted such a policy, while another 2% said they would next year. Hospitals are leading the way with 21% having bans this year (by next year one-third of hospitals are expected to have bans). Transportation and utility companies come in next at 17% and 13% respectively."

Fortunately for me, my company does not (it is not stated in what they test for) and stangely enough, I used to work in a hospital and I can't tell you how many of the nurses smoked.

Good info... I didn't realize its become that widespread. But then I've always been a non-smoker.
