Good point. I would say take every email and forward them all to your new account. May take a while, but works.. there is most likely other ways to do this.

But the problem is that he can't retrieve the e-mails from his friend's computer because it only opens his friend's e-mail account. Its nice that you want to try to help our members, but make sure you understand the question and solution first.

Thanks, i guess i missed that part. Just started today. We should know what type of email provider he has.
I also have a question in need of answers, it's a bit much to ask, but help would be nice.

Have your friend sign out of his/her email first. Sounds like you and your friend have the same email provider.
If so, sign right back in using your address and password.
If different provider from your friend, search sign in ______________ (your provider in blank)

If you have email through a POP service then your going to need to provide that information to the computer / tablet or whatever that you are using to get your email with. If your freind is using a different provider then you then you will need to set it up for your use as a seperate account and the address given by your provider.

Go to your friends browser. Search for your email providers website and open it. Open your email providers email feature and enter your login info - usually a username and password. This should get you to something familiar. Open your inbox as you normally would

beegca, I agree, but whether going in the way you suggest or starting out on the friend's email page, it will be necessary to sign the friend out if both have the same email provider. Maybe I don't understand the question, but this is a fairly simple, everyday procedure (signing in to your email from another computer at another residence or hotel, etc). The only thing that complicates it here, is that both have the same email provider. And if it is outlook (maybe others too), you can't have 2 accounts open at the same time, and that is a recent change. I used to keep my wife's email and my own (both outlook) open most of the time. Several months ago, a change was made (rec'd message from Microsoft) that it would no longer be possible. If I want to look at her email (with her permission, not snooping) I must close mine first and open her's.
