I have a 2002 honda accord 3.0 yesterday the transmission would not shift out of first gear, then all the dash lights came on,door open lights, engine lights break lights, battery light etc. Then the car would not start due to a low battery, jumped the car and got it home and put on charger, I think the alternator went out, but why would all the lights come on? Also if you rev the engine to 3500 rpm the lights would go off. All these problems happened all at once, I don't know if there is a relay or something to check first

2002 honda accord, all service lights came on yesterday, along with door open lights, transmission would not shift out of first gear, then car died and had to be jumped to get it home , indacator lights (most ) goes off when car is reved up to 3500 rpm then come back on when lowered rpm. Is there a relay or somthin that would cause all this havoc at once?

Yes, the problem resides with the alternator. Install a new alternator, fully charge the battery, and you will be good to go. What has happened is that the alternator brushes have worn down too far--they are not easy to replace on most Honda alternators. It requires really breaking down the alternator to get to the brushes; then, you have to unsolder the old ones and solder in the new ones.
