I've been datin this guy for two months and still haven't told my parents about him. I've already met hhis parents and I want him to meet mine but they'll ask "what is a boyfriend?" I don't know what to say. Please help.:confused:

I come from a very misunderstanding family as well. I was restricted to dating within my own race specifically and it even came to where I had a prom date from a different race and flipped out when they saw my photos. My parents reserve very conservative views. Its always great to have the blessing of your parents, but you know in today's society, such will not be the case.

Just bring him over as a casual friend that is a boy. Don't even let them know that you are "dating" him. If you're parents can get over that you're fine. If they have a problem with it, at least it's a very contained situation and you can figure out what to do from there.

Bringing up a boyfriend suddenly can be a shock to many families, so make SURE he's at least presentable.
