I drank 4 rum and coke with double shots of rum in drinks on Wednesday and 4 teqilla and orange on Thursday. All 80 proof and have and EtG on Monday at 12:00 pm. My last drink was at 7:00 pm Thursday. What's the chance of passing my EtG on Monday? I hadn't drank for over 90 days prior to those drinks. Will I pass?

Let me see if I can correct all this. My question on drinking the rum and then the tequila were wrong and for this Im sorry.
Here is the correct question. On Wednesday I drank 4 rum and coke with double shots of rum. On Thursday I drank 4 tequila and orange juice and stopped drinking completely at 8:00 pm Thursday. I had not had a drink in over 90 days prior to this session. What are my chances of passing and ETG test on Monday at 12:00 pm? This would be about 86 hours later. I am 58 years old but my system is in good shape. Thank You.

You have a decent chance at passing. Better to not take chances anymore though.

At 86 hours you should pass, but I can't say for certain. It really depends on your body, metabolism, etc. Most experts agree that ETG detects between 60-80hours after your last drink. But there are others that say it can be as much as 5 days after your last drink. So it really depends.

What do you stand to lose if you fail? Why are you drinking if you're being tested? Seems like a pretty big risk to take, especially when you were clean for 4 months.

Is there anything we can do to help? Is this an addiction you need help with?

Why would you think it was a bother? No bother at all. We're here to answer questions. Your question wasn't a bother at all, and I do hope you come back. Ask anything you want, as long as it's not obscene or against the law, and we'll answer if we can.

I hope you stick around. :)

Are you in any programs to help with your addiction? Do you have anyone to talk to about this that can help you stay sober? Alcoholism is a disease. It's not easy to get over it. Having a good support system is a must.

And you're most welcome.

Yes I'm currently enrolled in Bridge to Awareness classes. I take Relapse Recovery, Chemical Dependency, and DUI therapy 3 days a week. I'm on probation and was told if I give a positive test they will send me back to California. I'm transferred here on the interstate compact in order to leave Napa, CA the wine country where I had a hard time trying to stay away from drinking. That's why I'm so worried about my ETG test. I had a falling out with my girlfriend and started drinking but I'm not now. I have even drank like a gallon of cranberry juice and it will be almost 90 hours since I had a drink when I give a test today.

When you drink or use because you are not happy with someone else, you are just causing harm to yourself. It did not hurt your girlfriend, only you.

I took my ETG test yesterday after 88 hours clean but don't know the results yet. But I feel I will be clean. Had a couple of drinks on Wednesday and a couple on Thursday. So I think I will be all right. I did drink a gallon of cranberry juice accompanied by high protein food and water, fruit and some walking for exercise. Any new opinions would be helpful. Thanks.

Toby, the advice isn't going to change so there is no need to keep asking the same question over and over again.

You have taken the test. Now all you can do is wait and do what you need to do to keep from putting yourself in this position again.

Good luck on staying out of trouble in the future.
