View Full Version : Bartholin Cyst?

Crezzy

I've experienced a tiny bump by vaginal opening. Very small and reminiscent of pimple. It was unpleasant maybe a little itchy and irritated. But that was about it. After googling it was thought to be Bartholin Cyst or abscess. I tried to pop it. Took many warm baths and applied hydrogen peroxide. Within days I was back to normal, no discomfort. Now there is flat flesh colored sore where the bump was. I could barely see it but definitely feel it. It a stinging sensation. What is this? Is it just trying to heal? For the love of God I hope it's not bad.

Normally one would treat the abscess with a sitz bath, many times unfortunately, before it breaks and heals. The glands on either side of your vagina become plugged up, drain, become infected thus the abscess which is not abnormal. What you should not have done is try to break it which only opens up that area to more infection. Baths are okay but then again bacteria happen. No to the peroxide as well.

Because you tried to solve the problem now you have to wait for the healing process to continue, or visit your doctor.
