My mom is 69 yrs old and has had open heart surgery 2 yrs ago and is alos diabetic she works 3 nights a week and on her days off she has no energy and can sleep up to 18 hrs a day , we live togeather and I am worried about her ?

Part of being a diabetic is living with not as much energy as normal people. Your mom is still working and doing this after open heart surgery, she is a super mom ! She is also still young according to today's standards.

I don't know what you want us to say, but if you feel she is doing too much, sleeping too much, get her to her doctor for a check up including blood work.

You can do a lot. Get a diabetic cookbook (many are free) and make sure she eats well, tests herself, wears really good shoes, and so on. Go with her to the doctor and learn what to look for. Sit down with her and go over a financial plan for the possibility that she might not be able to work.
