My friend got caught stealing. After she got done selling all the jewelry she got 6000 dollars for it. The cops went to her house and took the rest of the jewelry. Some of the jewelry are fake. The cops told her that they're going to call her in two days but it's been three days they haven't call her yet. My friend is really scared. She's not a bad person, she just having a real hard time. Can you help her please.

She stole. Good people don't steal, no matter how hard up they are. She admitted to you that she stole this jewelry, sold it for $6,000. She profited from her theft.

She's not as good as you claim she is. If she has any good left in her, she'll pay back what she stole, and accept responsibility for what she did.

No, we can't help her. $6,000 is possibly a felony offense, particularly since she actually stole more if the "police came and took the rest...", even if some was fake. She could also get charged with false representation if she claimed the jewelry was not fake. Depends on your local court system but this amount is not trivial.

Sorry but "good people" don't commit thefts that big.

THey have her... and its all but certain they are going to charge her and arrest her. THey are just getting evreything ready to do it first.

She needs to get her affairs in order, and find a lawyer.

I have to ask. Why isn't your "friend" as concerned about this as you are? My experience says that there is no friend, it's you. Is that the case?

$6k is what she received, but she'll be charged the retail value of the jewelry.

your friend is looking at felony embezzlement charges. Look for an attorney immediately. With any luck, they can plea down to a misdemeanor if this is a first offense.
