Trying to find the name of a historical romance I read about 25 years ago. The main female character had an unusual name, Scheherazade or very similar. She and her father are British, mother is deceased. Setting was in India possibly, not a fluff read, very detailed in political and cultural facts. Female lead over hears a plot and is kidnapped, by male lead, they end up traveling together and are tracked by a tiger he had wounded previously. They reach the castle type home where he grew up and fall in love. They return to "civilization" and I believe there is a trial and she has to testify to save him but "ruins" herself.
