We all need fats in our diets, it's the types that are of FATS ARE OF utmost importance. Fats help nutrients absorption, nerve transmission and help maintain cell maintenance integrity. So that's the facts; Now:
Bad Fats: SATURATED: Raise total blood cholesterol as well as HDL, It's found mainly in animal food products, such as meat, dairy, eggs and certain seafood. Also in plant foods, such as coconut oil, palm oil, palm kernel oil. That doesn't mean give up these foods, just watch serving sizes, and fatty content.
TRANS FAT: Are found mainly in packaged foods, like french fries, microwave popcorn, veggie shortening and margarine sticks.

Polyunsaturated fats- Also lowers total cholesterol and LDL, i.e salmon, fish oil, corn, soy, safflower, sunflower oils and omega 3 fatty acids.
