I am trying to reset my Whirlpool dishwasher Model DU980QPDB3 but can't any information. When I push the button for a normal cycle it lights up but nothing happens.

I don't see if there is a reset button, but it sounds like the control lock-out feature may have been activated.
To turn off LOCK OUT:
Press and hold AIR DRY (about 5 seconds)
until the LOCK OUT indicator turns off.

I checked to make sure that it wasn't locked and its not. When I push the normal cycle it goes om, will run through the whole cycle, heat and all but no water comes in. I checked the float and its not stuck, the water temp is fine but can't get it to run the water.

Check out this link. I don't know what your comfort level is testing parts, but I'm out of suggestions. I wish you luck.

You may need to get a digital multimeter to fix it. When testing parts you need to use it as you cannot guess at it.
