Hi, I am now studying foreign language.I have a health problems. This is that when I finish take a meal, I have to go toilet. This is not always but most of the time. Especially, when I take a meal at outside. I went to see doctor, he said that it is irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and the best way is reduce my stress. Actually, it is not big problem but it make me some relationship problems. So, I don't want this. What should I do? I tried many ways to reduce my stress but it is not success. Give me some ideas, please. Thank you!! Kellvin

Without knowing more about how often this happens, and to what extent each time, this isn't easy to answer. It's common for many people to feel 'eating stress' when out in public or on a date. I myself tend to get a lot of gas and discomfort if I'm eating with people I don't know well, so I limit how much I eat, and what.

You can also have a food allergy, although if this is diarrhea, and it doesn't happen at home, I am sure it is just stress and a sensitive bowel. Eat slowly, eat small portions, and avoid spicy and greasy foods out in public. There are certain foods that many people avoid, but each person is different. Try to identify what they are for you. Lactose (in milk) is a common one. Red pepper is another. Think about what you drink too.

(If it happens all the time, you look into tests for parasites or ulcers or other conditions, but work on the above first.)
