Exploring possibility of installing a Wood Pellet Stove as an Alternate Heat Source.. The object is to locate the Fireplace in the most advantages spot to heat the whole house.. The house is your typical Matchbox Style, finished Basement a large bedroom at one end.. The stairway leads straight up at the opposite end.. Upstairs the Livingroom & Kitchen are open, then just a Master BDRM , TV RM & 3P Bath.. No Hallway... Thoughts & Opinions Appreciated..

What appeals to me as part of the installation, no fancy big chimney required.. Plus Pellets would be easier & cleaner to handle... Thanks

It is my understanding that the Chimney run must be very short and out of the house in short order also. How are you doing it in the center of the house? I have a wood burning stove and would like to use pellet but chimney would be about 12-14 ft tall.
