I am 18 years old. On 15th of Feb I almost had sex, slight penetration was done but not for more than a minute. However, the person did outside several times. Because I was paranoid, I took an iPill within 48 hours. Now my period is 6 days late. I was also on my period at that time (3rd day). Is there a possibility of me being pregnant?

Hi adrianarara,

What you had was indeed considered sex. Pregnancy is possible, but not likely. Although keep in mind that if he enters you, pregnancy may be possible, especially if he reentered after ejaculating outside. Having been on your period at the time makes it less likely, as does taking the iPill within 48 hours. It may be that your period is off due to having taken the iPill. It can cause cycles to be off for some women. You could always try a pregnancy test for the peace of mind, or just wait until next month and see what happens with your period.

Be smart about it if you are going to be engaging in sexual behavior. Always use protection, best for him to use a condom and for you to use some form of birth control as well, to lessen the chances. Know that pregnancy can still be a possibility, even with contraception, so if you are not ready for the possibility of an unplanned pregnancy, you may want to eliminate any chance and wait on the sex until a later time. There are other ways to show you care about someone.

IF, by chance, you were not entirely on board with how far things went, speak up. How he responds will let you know just how much he really cares about you.

Your chance of pregnancy is very very low, so don't worry. Ipill can cause fluctuation in your period cycle so it is normal. If periods are delayed for over 10 days then consult a doctor.
