I haven't had my period in about 4 or 5 months. It's been so long I've lost track. I'm 22 years old, and I'm definitely not pregnant. (I had to get an X-Ray recently and the nurse did a pregnancy blood test beforehand) In the past, I've skipped one to two months here and there, but usually when I was eating a very unhealthy diet, or losing weight. (I've always been within 15 pounds of my ideal weight. Right now I'm at my ideal weight) I don't exercise heavily: I run for maybe 15 minutes, 4 times a week. For awhile I wasn't doing any exercise at all. I don't know why I could have missed my period for so long.
I took birth control in the past (for 3 or 6 months, I believe). I was totally regular while I was on it, but then I stopped. I remained regular for a long time afterwards. I know I need to go see a gyno, but until then... is it likely there's something very wrong with me? I don't think I have early menopause / ovary failure because I looked up the symptoms, and I don't have any of them. I also have a normal libido and everything feels/works fine.. I'm just wondering where my period went? I'd like to have kids some day...
Any ideas? Thanks a lot.
