Went in with an infected tooth. Shot me up to see first if infection would interfere with the numbing processs. It was a go. So an hour and 45 min later, twisting, pulling, tugging and finally cutting the tooth in three pieces and several more injections of what ever he was using he was done. And after all that he said he was sorry and that he now realizes he should have waited till the swelling went down. I leave. I'm groggy at best from being shot so many times. Ten min. later I start shaking uncontrolably, fever spikes, heart racing, shot of breath. Call him he says he may have giving me too much of what ever. That episode lasted a half hour or more. The next day feeling a little better. Then out of the blue drenched in sweet and sick to my stomach. Blood pressure drops low enough for the people to call the ambulance. That lasted 20 minutes. Day 3 face is more swollen. Sorry doesn't seem good enough at this point.

Were you given antibiotics? This sounds more like a side effect of the infection rather than something the dentist did.

I doubt you could sue at all... if the tooth had to be pulled you already had a very advanced infection... if you couldn't show regular dental visits its going to look to be your fault.
But seriously... as J_9 mentioned... antibiotics can do that... and if you waited that long to get anything done... any action will be more traumatic than if caught early.
Save your money... use it for regualr visits to ANY dentist. You can't expect your teethto last if you don't get cleanings and thorough exams at LEAST twice a year.
No its not pleasant to visit a dentist... but false teeth and bridges are less pleasant to wear than your natural teeth are too. Ask anyone that has them.

as J_9 mentioned... antibiotics can do that. Actually, I was referring to the infection causing these symptoms, not the antibiotics. ;)

Agree, I do not see anything done incorrectly, as he attempted, using standard methods to pull a tooth.
I would assume he has asked you now to go to a dental surgeon or to take medication for infection and come back.
Side effects may be from infection, or medication, but you are responsible to let him know if you allegic to any mediation.

My answer is I don't know. There is not enough information here to determine whether the dentist committed an error. You would have to go to a specialist who can determine if errors were made.
There are a number of things that could have caused your reaction that would not be the fault of the dentist.
