My manager is very nice, but, one of my co-workers, who is a friend of my manager repetitively makes the same mistakes 20, 30 50 times. My manager is aware but nothing has changed. She says" well, she has other attributes". That is all good and nice but her mistakes end up being my problem and potentially the facilities problems. The data has to be corrected before I present it to corporate. When I mention the errors, my co-worker gets upset. I try to control my frustration but it slips out subtle at times and not so subtle at other times. I've moved by desk to another area to distance myself, but am still frustrated. HELP!

Transfer to a different department, or find a job somewhere else... you aren't going to win this fight.

Stuff like this happens... if you whine about it you look like the office malcontent (even if you aren't) and like it or not... it negatively effects your reviews , etc.

Suck it up and maybe you will outlast them, or transfer somewhere else and let them fix their own problems. The latter gives you more peace of mind, the former more stress.

If you do know of another place where you can work but don't really want to quit this one, or if you are willing to take a risk, tell the manager that the stress is getting to you and that you have another job offer. Say you would like to stay if you can take over the part of the job that you have to keep correcting, and drop part of your job that is easy.
Keep a chart for one week first of each of your co-worker's mistakes.

Why are you checking on the work of a co worker.

Why are you changing the mistake of someone else, and not giving it back to them to fix ?
