My attorney ask me to have a sheriff go do a well baby check and he said I know that person personally and you are the crazy one you have called DFS on him . I am not going out there.

First, its not a good idea to piggyback your question on another thread. To avoid confusion I've moved your post to its own thread.
Second what is your question? A sheriff has discretion in such things. If the sheriff feels he knows the person and that your fears are baseless, it can tell you so. If he said this to you in public, that might give you grounds for a defamation suit, though that is unlikely to succeed.

Did you call DFS? If so what was the outcome? What do you expect the sheriff to find that DFS cannot?

If you share custody of a child and your ex has a new person in his or her life, you'd better have very good reason other than spite and jealousy to get various authorities to check for you. I can't imagine a lawyer suggesting that you call them unless you told the lawyer that horrible things were going on.
If there was reason to call for a check, such as coming home with bruises, then you get that documented first.
