How do I remove (safely) the VALVE BODY of my moen 7400 kitchen faucet. I have a granite countertop and don't want to mess it up

Hi Jo and welcome, Moen has a good installation video Installation Help / Animated Tutorials for Moen Faucet (http://www.moen.com/consumer-support/installation-help/tutorial?id=moen0101) Just reverse the order and it comes off. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
