I have a frost free outside faucet wolverine brass brand dripping. When I pulled the stem there was no cartridge or oring on the end of the stem just a pin going through the shaft that was pushed to one side. Looks like what ever is suppose to be on the end of the stem has come off inside the wall. Am I on the right track? Can't find a diagram of what this is suppose to look like and should this be soldered to the end of the stem. Should I push the pin evenly to both side of the stem and try inserting it and maybe it will grab hold and come out when I remove it? Thanks Okie Mark

Hi Mark

Take the stem out and put a nylon stocking over the end of the faucet (or tie a sock on the end of the valve) and then turn the water on full blast...see if you can blow the parts out of the faucet and into the nylon/sock. If you retrieve the parts try to reassemble everything and see if your issue is repaired. If no parts come out post back and I'll see if I can find a specification sheet on this, OK?
