Looking for the name of a shipwrecked movie with a little boy a fat lady and a man who seem to lead them around the ship. I remember the fat lady swimming under water for a long time saving someone and then later dying. There was also a skinny young lady. I think the man wore a red and blue striped sweater.

Can anyone help. This was a old favorite of mine as I grew up. It was in the 80's I believe.

I think what you are looking for is The Poseidon, The original was made in 1972, thats the one with the boy and woman you mentioned. The new one made in 2005 has semilar characters but I like the original version best. The lead cast was Gene Hackman, Ernest Borgnine, Jack Albertson, Shelley Winters, and Red Buttons. The little boy was Roddy McDowall. Hope you can find it. Its one of my favorites. Good Luck
