Hi,
My basement infloor hot water heating circulator pump is humming but both suction and discharge lines are cold .The similar pump for upper levels is hot.
Is it a problem with impellor ? Has it been worn out ?
It seems like no blockage in the lines , the well water is soft , so it should not be any deposits as well as a hot water system pressure stays steady at about 20psi.
Does anyone have any idea whether the B&G pump should be replaced ?
Thank you

Hi SL

If the thermostat is set above room temperature and you confirm that power is getting to the circulator VIA an electrical tester and you still don't have heat to the zone then, most likely, the circulator has gone bad and needs to be replaced.

Confirm power to the circulator using an electrical tester...
