When water is turned on a lot of air blows out then water starts. The pump is submersible and when turned of you can fell hot water bleed back to pump

Hi,
I believe the problem is that the foo valve is no longer sealing. Heated water is probably caused by pump turning on intermittently and heating it by the heat of the pump as it heats during a shortened cycle.
Peace,
Clarke

Agree other than it wouldn't be a footvalve but rather a checkvalve with a sub pump.

That part about the air bothers me. That could point to a leaking well pipe. A simple CV leaking shouldn't cause air to be in the system.
