I had to take hair folical drug test and failed. Never did drugs in my life. They took sample from my armpit, I had deodorant on that had ppg-14 butyl ether in it,would that come back methanfedamin on the result?

I don't see why it should. The chemical formula is so drastically different between the two that I don't know how the detection test could mix those two up.

A buddy of mine asked me this question and I couldn't answer it. He had to take a swab a piss and hair test for drugs and passed the first two and hair test came back contaminated. He called the place that did the testing and they said not worry that it was not drug related. His job sent him back to do over and it came back positive methinfedemin. I know for a fact that he has never done that or any drugs. Dose not make any since.

I am surprised that there wasn't any instructions that came with or before the test. I would have made sure of a clean sample, so why he put on deodorant/antiperspirant before the test is confusing. Something for you to learn from.

I am sure that if they do a more thorough tox screen they'll find no evidence. These are a coarse test that will often key on many different things, some illegal drugs and other harmless cosmetics. There could've been something else in there that could have cause the false positive. It is really hard to say.

As well, as much as you know someone, they could have habits that they're REALLY good at hiding. You've never seen him take meth. Doesn't mean he hasn't.
