My boyfriend of 2 years doesn't want his mom to meet my mom, I am currently pregnant and I thought it would be a good idea to take them out to dinner to finally meet each other

What is your question ? I am assuming you want suggestions on how to get them together, or you are asking us why your b/f feels that way?? Is he afraid of getting lambasted for getting you pregnant?

If he doesn't want to, why push it ?

Have you two discussed this before? Is he against them ever meeting and does he say why?

And why do you want them to meet ? How far apart do they live.

I do see "boyfriend" not husband, so they could not have meet at wedding.

No baby shower ? Where they may meet since both would be invited ?

Is there a reason he does not want them to meet ?

I personally see no reason they should meet, unless they wanted to.

They will have to meet sometimes given they are going to become grand parents of the same child.

I find that odd. They are going to be sharing a grand child. They should meet at some point.
Have you met his mother?

Why don't just 'the girls' go out.

Your boyfriend doesn't have to go.

Or, have something at your home, or your mother's home. Maybe lunch.

I don't see what the problem is. As I said, your boyfriend can stay home.

What's wrong with his mother? What's wrong with yours? They're both going to be grandmothers, so why not meet? The only reason I can see, since you give no info at all, for your boyfriend being against this, is that something is either severely wrong with his mother, or yours.

More info would really help. We can't read minds, we can only base our opinions on what you tell us, and in this case you told us nothing, which means we really have nothing to offer you in way of advice.
