Is part of your question missing? Or is there a typo? Is it supposed to read '..covers the distance in 36 sec.'?

Distance = Rate * Time
Or, for our purposes,
Rate = Distance/Time
From the rate, m/s, you should be able to figure out the ' beats by. '
