I just had an ejector pump replaced, the lid is about 20 years old and there is an odor in my basement. I would like to replace the lid to see if this helps. Do I need to contact a plumber. I had a 24-hour service company put in the ejector pump and charged me 800.00.

If you are not handy, then unfortunately you probably want to hire a plumber to install the lid as it needs to be AIR-TIGHT/GAS-TIGHT to keep sewer gasses from coming into your home.

If you think you have the skills to install the lid properly, then go ahead and install it...no plumber required by code or anything like that...;)
