I have had two normal, healthy pregnancies. In each case, I became pregnant right away. My children are ages 5 and 7. Recently, I began experiencing painful intercourse and painful urination. I received an ultrasound in which the only thing that appeared was that my uterus was bicornate. The fact that I had a bicornate uterus had never showed up with either of my pregnancies. The doctor was surprised that I had had two normal pregnancies. More recently, I became pregnant and had a miscarriage at 8 weeks. During the ultrasound to confirm miscarriage, the doctor (a different one) also mentioned the bicornate uterus with surprise that I had normal previous pregnancies. Is it possible that the shape of my uterus has changed? Could something be causing the misshape? I'm just wondering if their could be some correlation with painful symptoms I have been experiencing and misshape of my uterus. My primary physician has dismissed it.
