Last week we had our bathtub taken out and replaced and walls retiled... Looks amazing... however now the water comes out of the shower head just fine but you can't get anything more than a slight trickle out of the bathtub faucet... I have 3 knobs... hot... cold... and the knob that diverts water between the tub and shower... any advice? We were told we were going to have to redo all of our pipes which of course means demolishing all the work on the tub that we just paid to have it done... doesn't make sense to me if water comes out of the shower doesn't that mean that the water is flowing up the pipes... shouldn't it come out of the tub faucet as well?? Thanks for any help!

If faucet was replaced as part of the remodel job, was any plumbing work done as part of the remodel? If so, call th contractor back.

If not, does the diverter, center handle, turn several times to change or does it only turn a partial turn?
Was tub spout remove or replaced? Does tub spout have a pull up knob on it?
Do you have an access panel on the other side of the wall that the faucet is on?
