I am replacing old Kohler Coralis parts with new ones (mixing cap-GP77886 & Pressure Balancing Unit-GP500520) and cannot get the water to shutoff. The cap and especially the PBU seem to come with extra parts in an attempt by Kohler to sell one package for a variety of faucets. I believe I have followed the instructions precisely (instructions which were VERY poor at best), but the water will not shutoff, and the mixing seems to be off (more hot water than cold). I can adjust for temp later, I'm more concerned about the shutoff. Anyone have any ideas, or perhaps a link to an actual user-friendly manual. BTW, Kohler's web site is absolute crap.

Try removing the pressure balancing unit and rotate it 180 degrees...reinstall and see if that fixes the issue. If not, it may be that the mixing cap needs to be rotated...some of these are very easy to confuse up with down...;)

Otherwise, you wait until tomorrow and call kohler's technical support department. These guys are usually very helpful!
