I've just set up my new Sony DVD recorder/player - model GX330. I can get it to record and playback, but I can't watch another channel while it records. I have a LCD TV, HD Digital receiver as well, which are all connected. I can get the remote to switch the equipment on/off (not the receiver though) and change the inputs, but it won't change the channels. As far as I can tell, I've connected everything correctly. Any help would be appreciated.

Your dvd recorder probably doesn't have that feature.

How is your dvd recorder connected? Between the digital receiver and your TV?
