I was a student till May and was on OPT from June to end of September. Since October I have been on H1B.

From what I have read on this forum, I can file as a non-resident and claim my deductions for my country ($5000). Now I wanted to know if the tax forms I will be filling will be the same as last year's when I was a student(1040NR-EZ and Form 8843)?

Yes, you CAN file as a non-resident alien, filing Forms 1040NR-EZ and 8843 ONE LAST TIME!

However, I need to know your home country to confirm your treaty exemption amount.
