So yesterday morning I woke up and I had brown discharge in my underwear. So before I went to school I put on a panty liner. I checked again in 2nd hour and there was a lot more. So I put on a pad and changed it once but then it just stopped right before I went to bed. When I woke up this morning there was only a couple drops. Is this my first period?

It sounds as though it could be. It would be a good idea to have a pad or two in your purse or backpack to be prepared. For many, periods can be sort of irregular to start with; for others they may occur the same time each month right from the start.

As well you might want to consult your mother. She's been through this and will be a GREAT resource as you sexually mature. Also might come the talk, which will be awkward. The abbreviated version is: You can get pregnant when you do anything sexual. Use protection. Be smart.
