My same sex partner and I adopted a child. Not legal in Michigan for same sex couples to adopt so child was adopted by myself alone, just my name. Partner had a daughter from previous marriage.
Adoption was agreed upon by both of us, adopted son is Hispanic as is the partner (now ex partner).
Son is 15, ex partner 45 and myself 60.
Partner's daughter is 21, who I helped raise and support every other weekend and the some for 18 years.
Partner decided he wanted out of committed relationship and adoption, packed up and moved to Florida.
Do I have any rights for child support?

Might not get any benefit considering the state rule. They will argue that you knowingly violated the law to get the child.

I don't see any laws violated as the child was adopted by one partner, not by both.

With that said the child was not legally adopted by the other party so no child support will be awarded.
