OK, so I am a minor. I will not reveal my identity, location or any other identities.

Hello. Now I know what I did was wrong, I understand that. But I need help. I specifically need people from UK with good knowledge of criminal law.

OK, so I am a minor. I will not reveal my identity, location (well I live in UK :/) or any other identities.

Today, an incident occurred between 2 people. I recorded it and now I am in trouble.

So far, I have not posted this video onto the internet nor have I sent it to anyone else. I didn't plan to distribute it anyway.

So my phone has been taken away and will be looked at by a PCSO. When will I get my phone back and have I committed a crime? To be honest, I don't know the person that well. But it was counted as bullying apparently.

So what can they do with my phone? Will they inspect the whole phone or just the video?

Am I in any serious trouble here?

Again, I realize I am stupid for what I did.

If you where going to be arrested it would have happened by now.
The PCSO had no authority to take your phone away from you.

At the moment. I have no idea what's going to happen. It will e collected in as evidence even though most incidents are cleared within a day.

Also. Can they legally search my phone? As in thorugly? Do they need to have a search warrant and do they have to notify me?

Aha. My son is in high school in the US, each year he is given a conduct and corrective action handbook, which he signs and turns in. It goes over what behavior/actions will not be tolerated, and what disciplinary action will be taken by the school for each offense. Did you get something like that? It might give you an idea of what action will be taken on you. I can't imagine you would be arrested though, that seems a bit extreme. At my son's school, Initiating or participating in the dissemination
of inappropriate messages or images on an
electronic device is corrected with anywhere from a 3 day suspension to expulsion (kicked out).
And
Unauthorized Use of Cellular Phones or
Other Communication Devices (Includes school buses to and from school
during regular school hours) is corrected with probation (they'll be watching you) to a three day suspension. You obviously have access to a computer, find your schools website and see if they have information like what I put here.

Maybe this is something you won't attempt again. I don't think you can be arrested, maybe warned; don't worry about your phone unless you have something on there to worry about, and if you mentioned it, you probably do.
