Just wondering there is this girl I REALLY like and I am pretty sure she likes me too. We smile and joke and talk a lot. If I asked her for a drink I am pretty confident she would say yes. However, I am concerned that we finish school in July and then after the summer she is going to a uni about 5/6 hours away while I will be a lot nearer our hometown. I just am really worried that any relationship we made would break up because of the distance. I know people who have been going out for a couple of years who have expressed concern that they might not make it. I really don't see how a relationship over that distance could make it. But I really like her so it is not a case of well you don't like her enough... I think it's the opposite and I like her too much I can't bare to see us break up. Just wanted some opinions thanks.

Statistically they fail. Each situation is different. It's not a reason to hesitate to tell her that you would like to go out, that you like her more than a little. We never know what the future really holds, corny as that sounds. Young people do struggle with the issue of where school and career take them, but it's all part of learning about relationships before you truly decide who you want to love through thick and thin.

Keep it real guy one day at a time. You haven't dated yet. True most young romances are temporary, but that's part of the process of learning what you can handle, and what you can't, and how to handle yourself in many challenging situations life throws at you.
If you are worried about a breakup, then you are not ready to take the risk of romance, because a breakup can happen when you do take a risk. Whether you REALLY like some one or NOT. You date and have fun getting to know someone and see what happens. That's keeping it real. One day at a time, one step at a time.
LOL, you aren't even in a relationship, and you worry about a break up? I don't know what will happen, nobody does, but you will never know without trying. Just don't get carried away.

You're worried about a break up and you have not even asked her out.
Take it one day at time.
