Since you are not telling us what plumbing fixture it is, I will assume you are talking about Hot Water Heater with gas pilot...

Make sure the tip of the pilot is hitting tip of the Thermocouple. If not, adjust the pilot light and place it right under the Thermocouple. Otherwise, the safety gas valve will not open - meaning, it will not allow gas flow into the burner.

S this is a glow igniter and not a pilot, right? Even a glowing ignitre can be bad if it does not build up enough amps. Gas Oven Not Heating / Lighting - How to Troubleshoot - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0XLySE3Eeg)

I'm guessing we have a forced air furnace here and want sneaky72 to know that it is almost impossible to troubleshoot a problem like this through a site like this...too many variables to go back and forth. Though we might get lucky with our first guesses, we might also waste a lot of your time (and ours)..UGH!

Contact the manufacturer's technical support department, have an electrical tester and the serial and model number of the unit available for quick service, OK?

Good luck!
