Any creative ideas for a short story?

Yep, I got a dozen or so ideas within about 20 seconds, what type of ideas did it bring to your mind ?

Class assignment or what?
I'd write a science fiction based story about a huge cosmic event that affected gravity on earth (we don't really know how gravity works anyway). People fight over things to weigh them down, and with all the animals we eat floating away, we clomp around with weights on our feet being vegetarian. Books, computers, phones, etc have all floated away... and so on.

I'd write about some Christians' belief in a coming Rapture (Thessalonians in the Bible).
