My college's financial aid office wants a copy of my W-2 and I need to know where to get one from 2012

If you don't have your copy anymore, you would have to ask your employer

You could get a transcript from the IRS

If for some reason you cannot get it from your employer, call 1-800-829-1040 and ask for a copy of your tax transcript for 2012.

The W-2 information will be in that tax transcript.
