While on vacation, my mom met up with one of her old high school classmates. We met their family, including her son. Her son and I ended up talking the whole night, and it was really fun. Since coming back, we've chatted on Facebook every night. He compliments me a lot, like telling me I'm pretty or cute. (I also compliment him). We go to this place on vacation every year so I will see him again. I want to know if it's worth telling him I like him, and if there's a chance he'd ever like me.

Also, I've become really attached to him... Not clingy, but I feel lonely when he doesn't talk to me. It's also really hard to text because there's a 16 hour time difference.

So should I tell him I like him or just accept that this relationship can't go anywhere?

Why does it have to "go anywhere" why a need to tell him anything.

Why can it not just go on its own. And how old are you, It is different if you are 12, than if you are 17.

He is not there to take you to a school dance, or to come over and play video games. So go on with life and chat and be friends.

"Not clingy, but I feel lonely when he doesn't talk to me." That sounds clingy to me.

It isn't fair to him or to you to set expectations on a long distance relationship when you two may only see each other once a year.

You have a crush and shouldn't do anything to get carried away or go overboard at this time. How old are you and your crush/text buddy? If you are so attached at this point, you should do what you were doing in your relief to void being over attached and in LALA Land so soon. Long distance and online crushes are always intense in the beginning, but that's a trap as well as a thrill for the moment.

Stay busy and involved with your real life. Crushes can come and go and never forget he has a real life too.
