I just moved into this house. Instead of running continuously the furnace will run for 6 minutes, shut itself off for 30 seconds and repeat. The air is warm (but far from hot) and the thermostat will hold temperature.
The cycle is as follows: Flame will come on. 20 seconds later the blower will come on and warm air will blow for 5 minutes 40 seconds. Then everything shuts off for 30 (maybe 32) seconds and then restarts. The time intervals are exact every time.
Ive replaced the battery in the thermostat. There are no vents blowing on the thermostat and the set point is still above the desired temperature when it shuts off. Any thoughts?
