Two days ago my furnace started squealing . It makes a loud noise about half way through it heating up. I have a carrier 58sta/stx model. The red led light is lit but no codes flashing. We took cover off and it sounds like its coming from what looks like a inducer motor assembly... That's what it labeled in the manual. Someone help the noise is driving us crazy, or should we call a handyman?

From what you are saying it sounds like the inducer motor is going bad. You might be able to find one online & replace it yourself if you are confident in your abilities. Otherwise, I suggest calling a local HVAC service professional.
