I am naturally a dark brunette. I had blonde highlights, and decided I wanted to go darker again, but with more of an auburn hue. I went to a salon, and the color that resulted was not what I expected. It turned into a burgundy color, not auburn. I had my hair dresser put toner on it twice right after dyeing it. It didn't fade much. I have read a lot of suggestions for getting dark hair dye to fade. I tried clarifying and dandruff shampoos and the hot oil treatments the very next day. It has been 2 weeks now, and I am still using a clarifying shampoo about 5 days a week. It has faded a little, but not as fast as I was hoping. I don't want to use anything harsh like bleach or peroxide, and I can't afford to go back to the salon right now. Will it continue to fade, or am I stuck with this color until it grows out? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
