I have two oils that my parents bought in the 1950's or 60's. I grew up with these on the walls of our home and now that my parents are diseased, I would like to know who the artist is and what the value might be. I have close ups of the signatures and paintings. I can send pics to wherever/whomever.

Thank you.

Hi Iam ( I think you meant your parents are deceased?) You can post the pictures here.

Post the pictures on this thread, that way everyone can see them and you have a better chance of someone being able to give you the info you seek.

I will tell you right now that identifying a painting only by sight is next to impossible, unless you find someone familiar with that painting and the artist. A signature is the best, but even then it can be very hard to find info.

Your best bet would be to take these paintings to a reputable art dealer.

But do post the pictures, you never know, there may be someone that recognizes it and the artist.
